From walks at the park to making ice cream to rearranging the house and cleaning up school stock for summer inventory, I have been busy and the summer days are just flying by around here. We had thought about rearranging bedrooms, too, but decided to keep everyone where they are with some minor (or not so) changes around the rooms. So, last week, Aaron & I did that. Then, I put everything back together early this week.
We got a full 2 days of school in this week and some partial days. But we also went to the city for a major stock up on bulk foods and we worked on kitchen deep cleaning. So, next week will be dig into the books week.
Why? You might ask. Because I will be drooling by Saturday night. In fact, Saturday night might begin our adventure to dig into the books, as I will be attending the library summer book sale on Saturday morning. My plan is to get there BRIGHT and EARLY. I will be bright and it will be early.
The cost is 75 cents per stacked inch. My understanding is that is a bit costly, but it is still way better than regular, or even half price.
So, next time you see me… I’ll have a recap of the wonderful weekend I’m about to embark on. The weekend will be a blast all around as I made pineapple upside down cake and ice cream and my husband will be treating me to dinner this evening.
Have a great weekend!

Here are some recent creations by my artists…

Play happens best if there are log cabins, boats and pyramids for these men to play inside of… so culturally mixed it is ridiculous! I know.
It is also helpful to have axes to cut trees for firewood and to build buildings and mud to make bricks.. if those products are not available then they can be transported down the Nile to anywhere, even California.

I am finally going to begin posting lessons. I have decided that I will be posting all lessons to be used as you please. Overtime, the lessons will take more shape, may be edited, and may be arranged differently. But for now, I welcome you to use them as you’d like. They are going to be available in the box.com widget on the sidebar at Health for a Lifetime. Read more »

Doing what? I’m not sure!
Honestly, the days are just flying by around here. Much of my day is taken up by a certain 11-month-old who is completely walking… and very good at communicating her needs and wants.
She is doing very well with infant elimination method and so we visit the bathroom with frequency. Her newest approach to telling me that she must use the bathroom is to come to me and clap her hands together just once. Then, we walk to the bathroom together, hand-in-hand. Read more »
